2021 Spring Edition
To complete projects postponed by the pandemic, Fabric’s Spring Edition in May 2021 extended the second edition’s vision. Public art installations featured prominently, including a large-scale mural inspired by the song Viva Fall River by Azorean Jorge Ferreira and interpreted visually by Halfstudio and Post Discussion, a communal bench designed by WSDIA and produced in collaboration with Smokestack Studios. These installations fostered communal dialogue and interaction in public spaces.
FRMOCA’s second group exhibition, curated by Harry Gould Harvey and Brittni Ann Harvey, included works by artists such as Sarah Malakoff, Thomas Willis, and Jesse Burke, showcasing a diverse mix of photography, sculpture, and site-specific installations. This eclectic collection emphasized themes of identity, place, and community resilience. Performative walks by Gustavo Ciríaco were reimagined with local guides, offering participants new perspectives on Fall River’s urban and natural landscapes. The Spring Edition reaffirmed Fabric’s commitment to bridging public art, community participation, and cultural exchange.
