2021 Spring Edition
Fabric's 2nd edition continued with a second event organized in may 15 and 16th of 2021 to conclude some of the projects postponed by the pandemic, including two art installations in Fall River's public space. Halfstudio developed a large-scale mural inspired by the local "anthem" (and of the Portuguese diaspora), "Viva Fall River," a song by Azorean songwriter Jorge Ferreira. WSDIA, a New York-based design collective, built "Post Discussion"- a communal bench for the Quequechan River Rail Trail that created a new meeting and gathering point, hoping to be a hub for play and understanding dialogue sharing and exchange. This project was developed in collaboration with Smokestack Studios (Fall River) and supported by multiple local entities and partners.
FRMOCA presented its Group Exhibition #2 curated by Harry Gould Harvey IV and Brittni Ann Harvey including works from globally and locally exhibiting artists including photography, drawings, paintings, sculptures, wearable art, site specific installations, workshops, consumable goods and performances. Our local experts - Corey Nuffer, Pattie Rego and Rhonda Fazio, guided a second iteration of the Come Walk with Me performative walks from artist Gustavo Ciriaco.
